What are some of your hobbies?
Acting is another passion of mine. Despite a huge fear of stage fright, being on stage or on screen is where my heart is. It’s where I feel free. I think it helps me translate how I tell stories in modeling. I’m also a dancer, both for work and recreation. Dancing is a big part of my life and has helped me cope with stress and anxiety. Outside of the industry, I currently work as a fitness instructor. I box and teach kickboxing, so I’m ready for my Million Dollar Baby remake. I think going grocery shopping is fun and relaxing because I love cooking and working with weird ingredients so sometimes my kitchen ends up looking a little like an episode of Chopped. I love writing outdoors, rereading the same book three times over, eating chocolate for breakfast, and indulging my travel bug.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
I think the greatest achievement I’ve ever had was living by myself in New York at the age of 19. I learned so much about the industry, the world, what I want and what I’m passionate about. Living independently in one of the most fast-paced, cultural, expensive, and utterly beautiful places in the world straight out of high school was a big lesson for me. But it was a decision I made for myself and following through on it is the proudest work of my life.
What are your dreams with modeling and outside of modeling?
I want a career that has a legacy. I want to work beauty, fitness, print and editorial. Outside of modeling, I want to open my own restaurant one day that profits and serves inner city and homeless communities to provide healthy, sustainable goods and produce at an affordable cost. I dream to have my own publishing firm for authors and writers, and as I finish up my first book right now and try to get it published by the end of the year, I’m so excited to learn a new trade and learn the ins and outs of that forum. I also want a T-shirt company, the possibilities are endless!
